Shaka Packs are made to order. Current build time, 12-14 weeks.

Tape Instructions

Apply three strips of tape to the non-drive side of your triangle.

Next, mark the tape with equal lines spaced 64mm (2.5”) apart.  Start by adding marks in line with your braze ons (bottle cage bolts).   Continue the marks along the three pieces of tape with as many lines that will fit.

If your frame includes bolts under the toptube and they are not spaced 64mm apart, note the distance between marks on the tape.

The next step will allow me to scale your frame to size then trace a template.  I’ll be using the marks on the tape as a reference for measurement.  If your photo is skewed, this process will not work as intended.   Please be sure to follow the next steps as best as you can.

For half, wedge and double decker packs please add your bottles to the cages so they are included in the photos.

You will be taking two photos of the non drive side of your bicycle.
• Place your bicycle in front of a white or light coloured solid background.
• Stand your bike straight and as level as possible.

The first photo will include the entire bicycle showing both wheels.  You will need to stand approximately 3-4 metres away.  Clean your lens and set your camera to high resolution.  Position camera even with the centre of the triangle for best results.  Both wheels should be round and appear as the same shape and size in your photo, this will ensure that the photo it’s not skewed.

The second photo will be taken closer to the frame showing just the triangle.  Position camera even with the centre of the triangle to avoid skewing.

Width of pack:
Your pack can be built to any desired width.  Take a look at the width of your toptube and your riding position to be sure your knees won’t rub the sides of your frame pack.  Frame packs will  buldge a bit when stuffed so keep that in mind.   Typically a bit wider than your toptube is not a problem.   The width  that’s been most popular has been 6cm.
Apidira’s 1.5 & 3 litre triangle bladders measure 6.35 cm wide.

Reply to this email with your desired width and attach the two photos.

If you prefer to trace your own template and mail it to me, follow these instructions instead.

Thank you!
